Palace Opera has produced staged opera for presentation in London, Edinburgh, and theatres around the country on tour, rapidly garnering positive reactions from both audiences and critics.

Performing in London at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Holland Park and Bloomsbury Theatres, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the productions included Humperdinck Hansel und Gretel, Massenet La Navarraise, Mozart The Marriage of Figaro, Purcell Dido and Aeneas, Stravinsky Oedipus Rex, Verdi Falstaff, and Wagner Parsifal Act II.

Jonathan Finney has been music director for most of these productions, and after a hiatus of activity, he has decided to rejuvenate New Palace Opera. To date, this venture has included concert performances with full orchestras, comprising excellent players from around the UK, of Wagner Tristan und Isolde - Prelude, Act II and Liebestod, and Saint-Saëns Samson et Dalilah Act II.

This autumn sees Palace Opera returning to London with a revival of their Tristan und Isolde programme at St. John's Waterloo, to be followed by a concert performance of Wagner Parsifal Act II at the same venue in Spring 2018.

SEEN AND HEARD INTERNATIONAL

Zoe South's Brünnhilde would grace many stages far, far larger than this...she is surely destined for a significant Wagnerian career.

KATIE BARNES, WAGNER NEWS

Jonathan Finney acquitted himself well as Siegfried, and his final lines as he dies had tremendous pathos.

SEEN AND HEARD INTERNATIONAL

Alinka Kozári's glorious...exultantly beautiful, soaring soprano.
